Could be much better.
Lose the red stroke around the image, maybe find another image that illustrates global warming a bit better. That image says to me 'ah, a nice cold beach someplace with huge ice cubes for your margaritas'
Maybe it's the color scheme of red and yellow bit it looks really mid 80s workout video to me.
Check some of these for insp.
