  i think i just ran into the same thing you're talking about. ie6 does not recognize fized (ie7, and everything else does.) I had to route to a different non-fixed stylesheet where everything just scrolled as a big page. Sucks, but eventually ie6 will die. Anyone using it deserves a crap solution anyway.
