heh, well I work downtown every day. People smoke crack like they smoke cigarettes, no shit. I see wild shit everyday here. It doesn't mean its not safe, but you're in for a rude surprise if you think everyone is exaggerating.
I think bottom line its too expensive here. There is a lot of irrational exuberance in what they think downtown will be. It has cleaned up a bit, but that doesn't mean a tiny shit hole is worth a half of a million dollars. I'm telling you, Long Beach...then take the blue line subway to downtown LA for work...its what I do!
