Yeah, I'm a big fan. First heard of him about 3 years ago when I was working in a studio and they played him all the time.
I've since got about 4 or 5 of his albums (I love live in tokyo just him on his own).
I saw him about a year ago here in london with his trio and it was spellbinding. He demanded complete silence but it was worth it. I can't think of another musician who writes so well and can also reinterpret others' music, particularly radiohead!I recently got his collaboration with pat metheny (methenymehldau) and it's great, took a while but I've been a metheny fan for years so I guess I was bound to like it.
I play the piano and guitar and both men are masters of their instruments. A great source of inspiration!
