i stole a bunch of milkcrates. tied them all together and build a library with a spot for a TV in the middle. i also hooked up a stereo system throughout the milkcrates. hid the speakers behind some books. hooked up the sound system to the TV and to my wireless network.
i got myself a cheap and effective living room sound system with lots of storage.
