    First, it most certainly is an inference from the evidence; The Big Bang, Cellular Machinery, Cosmological Constants, Specified Code (DNA), etc... the list goes on. All of these things give a shrill cry of a powerful designing intelligence behind life.

    Ever heard of the anthropic principle? Perhaps you disagree that we are a result or product of this universe? This is also goes to further my point. You commonly inject God(ID) into points of ignorance or gaps in knowledge. That absense of understanding is not evidence that you can cite in support of your beliefs.
