mimio: you're refusing to listen to me. On purpose, i suspect. The creation account of Genesis can be interpreted in a Framework context, i.e. - the text being poetic language that us lil humans can wrap our lil brains around. And there are hints in the original Hebrew which suggest that this is the case. So, it is YEC's specifically who proclaim that it should be taken in a rigid literal chronological way. I am not one of them.
Further, your stating that the earth being created before the stars is "categorically false" is rediculous since you weren't there to observe how and when things happened.
