Just bought a West Elm bed. It was the best look/value I could find - approx. $700 for a queen, delivered (and it took about 5 days to get here!). Just got here and is still in the box.
The other brands I was looking at were:
www.poliform.com (the best looking, imo, but at least $2k for the frame, I think)
www.boconcept.com
www.roomandboard.comThe WE looks almost as good as the much more expensive ones.
I'll spend the money on the mattress.What's a good mattress cost? My buddy just spent $3k on his and swears by it. I spent $400 on my last one and it lasted 6 months.
FYI - the beds on www.sleekspaces.com are the same ones on all the generic sites. Try a search for 'platform beds' and you'll see a billion Zurich Platform beds. I'd be skeptical of something so generic.
