  Yeah, I've heard they'll just wipe it. I've ordered an external hard and will be backing ASAP. Gonna use Carbon Copy Cloner so I'll have a complete archive.

  How long will it take them to do whatever they'll do?

  I can drop it off at a fairly local Apple store, will they do it same day?

  Also, is a straight replacement really an option? Be kinda cool too drop of my old G5 iMac and walk out with a spanking new Intel model :)
