Okay dude. You have two options. 1 get married in the US then apply for green card status. 2 come to the states get a job and apply for an H1B visa. If you love the girl then I would recommend number 1. H1B sucks because it lasts for 3 years and you can only work for that company that is sponsoring you!!! if you hate the job then tough shit or you will have to apply for another H1B. Both visa applications take 6 to 8 months and requires plenty of paperwork. However when you are applying for the greencard they will give you a one year visa to stay in the states. Either way you will have to come to the states and get yourself an immigration lawyer and they aren't cheap either. Prices vary between $2000-$5000. You might get lucky and get a signing bonus and your boss could pay for your lawyers fees. I'm presumming the girl is American? I live in Philly. If you want I can send you some immigration lawyers numbers, design firms etc etc. In all seriousness I would think long and hard if this girl is worth it. Its a huge sacrifice to leave England.....trust me I know!! Let me know if you need any help and I can point you in the right direction.
