A girl was drugged and possibly raped in Toronto, and the guys who did it taped / took pictures of the entire thing and circulated it around the school. Not one student complained or called the cops, and many claim that they believed the photos to be fake.

You know, dead girl, teenagers don't give a shit, keep it to themselves and away from authorities, etc.
(I suppose you can see the more contemporary "Brick" for a similar plot)
Basically all the Boomer critics used it to define my generation as a bunch of apathetic losers, etc..at the time - you know along with "grunge music" and whatever else..
Same shit here...I think it's just teenagers being stupid due to developmental factors and the people in their 40's forgetting what complete apathetic morons they were themselves at the time.
All I got to say is fuck these baby boomers..can't wait til they all die off..they fucked my generation and are rasing a bunch of narcisstic kids who expect the world to be handed to them for free, just like they were..
