(Mar 8 07, 10:32)Well, this is why it's not good to be too strict on your kids. Because they obviously need to experience some things for themselves. My parents are cool sometimes, but other times they are waaay too strict (as some of the threads I have created before would suggest). It all depends on the day. Overall though, I think there comes a time when you have to accept the fact that you can't shield your kids from everything.
They have to experience some things by themselves to actually grow up. At the same time, I don't completely blame my parents, since I know lots of people whose parents give/gave them everything they want and their lives are shit now.
