for all you slut-haters out there:
for the record, i was raised in a "good" baptist family. my parents ultimately wanted these things for me, but they also taught me to make my own decisions and learn from my mistakes.
i have a great relationship wth my dad, and not once did he ever try to control me or make me feel like i was less of a person for being a girl... he treated us with respect and encouraged us to be ourselves.
their religious ideals were put to the test when my sister became pregant out of wedlock... if my parents had been judgemental and controlling, we wouldn't have her 2 awesome kids in our lives now :)
