I think the airlines love this. They perpetuate all this terror about fluids and force passengers to pay outrageous prices onboard for life bearing essentials like water.
At Christmas, they wouldn't let an old lady bring a jar of pickled peppers onboard from her daughter. They had a whole table of fluid filled items much like the picture... and these were only domestic flights in Canada.
