To me, it's the feeling I get each time I say goodbye to my girlfriend, knowing there's the chance I might never see her again should some unforseen thing happen - and to take that feeling and realize how empty life would be without her, how lost I would be - and this makes me realize how intertwined our lives are, how much we mean to each other.

Though of course I love her for happy things and all that, my concept of love comes somewhat from the loss of my sister 11 years ago, a tragic, instant thing in a car wreck. First time to ever go through anything like that, and you learn alot about yourself, what you value in other people, what you care about, what people do to leave lasting impressions on you.

As I've grown as a person from that time, love has become that realization of how you could never imagine life without someone, because you actually know how that feels. It makes you absorb and store everything about the person you love, it makes them mean something more than just a person you are close to.
