well, they do not really slip past- the DOT allows them to come in fine. all cars after the 15 year post creation date are allowed entrance, w/o altercations to prior DOT impact and lighting standards they were at time of creation. now, some of the H1 lighting systems will still be banned as there is new legislation, but aside from this, these era Audi are all in the clear. the RS2 being the first (that never came here) that will be available next year! :)
and yes, i am serious about it. 10k euro is a bit high, but sooooo worth it for a good, clean S6 Plus Avant.
i have the ability to *probably* get it in a full container coming over anyway (they come regularly to the source i have) so i might be able to get that for free. :) it would be the coordination of sourcing the avant, plus dealing w/ VAT on exit from whichever country (Gibralter seems to be the best right now) that i would need assistance on.
man, this gets me pumped! :)
