You know I can chat theological all day. I know it seems on the internets it's real easy as to come across snarky and such, but in regards to spiritual matters I am really quite respectful, but it's just too easy to get Flagellums goat and I admit I have fun with it. I don't take anything said on here all that seriously and just goof off..
That said, with regards to the christian faith I found the only way that it resonated with my was to actually take Jesus statements in the NT seriously and literal - that the Kingdon of God was, in fact HERE and NOW. That in fact, there is no Heaven to get to, but rathe rHeaven is right here and now and is a matter of flipping the script about thinking what salvation is really about. That was mad deep for me.
Unfortunately such a view is in fact heretical in christian tradition (You can start with the Cathars in medieval France and go through the centuries all those burned at stake over just such an interpretation)..so this whole saving my soul to go to some "heaven" after I die is just bobcockery to me...and I find no spiritual meat to chew on in modern american christianity either. It's lightweight stuff to me.
