my sister's name is jesse. it's amazing how much of an effect that missing letter had on her childhood. her teacher declared in front of all the children in her 2nd grade class
'oh. hi jesse. i was expecting a boy.'
she would then explain to her peers that she was named after joan baez's love song about a man.
not so great for her self esteem.
and she has received very bad news today concerning her health. life is so precious. :*(
