I'm bitter - I miss the SF of the 80's and early 90's.

(Feb 2 07, 09:26)Funny you should say that.. I spent the winter 96/97 in the Bay Area and all that time had the feeling that the best of California had just happened a while before. Weird time, web and design weren't really related yet and Smash Mouth was the biggest local thing soon to make it worldwide. An abyss, compared to late 80's/early 90's. People were trying to digest UK techno/house/whatever inventions at that time.
It's been quite a few years and I really miss it, hope to be able to visit this year.
