    i am not saying i disagree, i see no harm too.

    but i do agree with blastofv that unless the design mean something, otherwise it could be just another tribal-style tattoo design.

    i guess sometimes tattoo cannot be rationalised, it just feels right.

    a crest also represents the japanese respect for nature (plants, waves, etc.) as well as the concept of family spirit and pride. which could be a mitigating factor why it makes a good tattoo. ;)

    there are many crests in the pdf link i sent... maybe choose one that has special meanings? u can check out the origin and significance of the symbols (e.g. old chinese coins, cherry blossom, etc) just dont pick one that is actually a contemporary ceramic logo design or some milk-produce company logo. :P
