    bleed is so when they chop the large card of all the flyers into individual flyers, there isn't white space or what not if a cut is a tad off.

    ie. if you had to print one on your home printer, then it would be alot easier to cut it up with a bleed, rather then trying to get a perfect cut along the printed edge...

    normally bleed is 3mm (sorry, metric system over here)
