when I bought my new computer it migrated from the wrong drive on my old one. I thought my old main drive was a sata drive and stupidly took it out and jammed it in my new computer. Instantly fried it. Luckily, I had backed up onto an external drive a week before. I lost a week of work, but it could have been a total disaster. Now I have an extra internal 500 gb drive and an external 750 and I back up twice every day.
