forget the sole trader thing.
The best option is to find yourself and accountant and set up a business and run all your invoices through the company.
Its more effective from a tax persepctive, and after 4 years of freelance, dealing with the cunts at inland revenue first handm pay a professional to help run your affairs.
Companys you freelance for will either pay you as PAYE or through your company, so it makes no difference to your employabiliity.
Honestly, get a company set up. I can not tell you the no end of toruble I have had with inland revenue, nation insurance, etc.
