McDonalds. My coworkers were mostly the dredges of humanity: "Recovering" alchoholics who would drink in their car after their shift and end up flooding their tank when they tried to drive a shitfaced hour later; suicidal thugged-out dude who came to work after getting out of the psych ward; the couple in their 40s who had worked at McDonalds since they were teenagers; crazy racists.
I quit and got a job at a bookstore, which ended up being my favorite retail gig ever.
