its petty for you to complain about something that all designers go thru.
the whole point of being a designer is being able to problem solve any challenge thrown at you.
there is nothing wrong with you wanting to be able to complete a job with the tools you "want" but you really need to change that habbit and staart trying for something else or you will lose work or be passed on when work is needed because your attitude is weak by challenging the industry, meaning if i was your employer i would not hire you a secpond time or maybe not even the first by yyou statingthat you only 1 tool over many.
get the job done, end of story, how you get there is up to you but get the job done.
or just bring in your own copy and work it out that way.
it really isnt that difficult. but it seems you are making something out of nothing...
hence...its petty.
