the best you have is the first one and you need a secondary vocabulary which looks to be in the second and third options as the "mark".
Was I you I would print #1 out and re-draw it by hand connecting it into a single thread and adding a bit of "thread" texture to it. Keep it clean too.
I would also reconsider the color palette it feels dead, your portfolio work shows a lot more life.
