RI is a sexy ass state. As far as Provi goes, Thayer St. is good. Some great italian spots on federal hill. Providence Place mall has some interesting stuff in and around it.
Also, Newport is a damn good spot to check out, especially in spring/summer. Great beach town with great food and bars. Check out the Red Parrot, Panini Grill, and Salvation Cafe (veg).
