eh? where's this come from?
I'm a fake Scot, with a fake life in London, (which doesn't really count as England anyway). I've never lived in Scotland (save for summers with Granny as a bairn), but my entire family's from there and when I get drunk or emotional my accent develops a lilt.
I lived abroad as a kid, so held on to the Scottish identity as everyone hates the English.
