some outstanding questions...wow this got a lot of responses.
skype : forgot about that one, maybe u can use on iphone, but doesn't matter, you can put it on a windows mobile phone but it breaks your TOS for your cell phone company....heh they don't want you getting free calls =) but yes it does in fact work.
size of iphone: i personally would like a smaller phone.. smaller and longer battery life are my problems with my smartphone
cost of iphone: TOO MUCH. period end of story for me. i can buy a dozen extra batteries for my phone and still pay less and my smartphone does more than iphone.
So let's just put this to bed with the facts of yes the iphone looks sexy as hell and if money was no object sure why not get it. but - for the power user AND the money conservative user, the iphone is NOT recommended by any stretch of the imagination.
in my opinion who would or should get the iphone?
someone who doesn't have an ipod already and doesn't mind paying a bit of money and doesn't need anything but music, video, internet, phone. cuz all the software out there for mobile os is written for windows...with an iphone you'll be really sad taht you can't play all the neat little video games (myst, doom, quake even), balance your checkbook, etc.
i WOULD get an iphone, but I already have a superior phone sorry.
