I tend to agree with this - as a previous Apple user I'm now fully Windows/PC and rarely if ever have any problems and I'm getting proficient enough to hack around with my hardware.
I get the impression that Apple/Macs are generally for people who don't like getting their hands dirty under the hood - and their girlfriends:)

Take Xbox Media centre for example, it runs as a custom dashboard on a modified Xbox and will handle pretty much any media file out there.

Wired to a home network it converts a regular Xbox to a home media hub pretty much like Apple TV, it streams 10,000+ Shoutcast radio streams, Apple movie trailers, Weather Channel weather reports as well as playing any media on PCs on the same network as well as standard DVDs, data CDs and Audio CDs.

An Xbox will now set you back about £49.99 in the UK and you can get it modded for about £30 on any high street (if you don't know someone who can do it gratis) and can be converted to NTSC to output a High-Def video signal.

Oh and it plays Xbox games.

Does the Iphone even have an FM radio yet?
