it's really all about how well the sound suits you. check it to see if it gets outta tune as you climb up the fretboard. if it does, put it down immediatly and snort loudly. =) if it doesnt and it has a fretboard to your liking, then you are on the right track. that is the first thing i look for when i pick up a guitar. does it stay in tune as i go up the string. and do the octaves resonate. if it is in tune and you cant make it resonate... then again, put it down and snort very loudly.
