going for a long walk, and ending up at a library, or a museum, or art gallery...
reading...
lots of reading...
playing guitar also usually recharges the batteries big time...
listening to good music,
having a nice lunch, somewhere nice, or relaxing..doesnt have to be expensive either..a little diner is fine, if it's comfortable..drawing...good ol fashioned, take out the pencils, and some nice paper, and just have fun....
try to remember why you got in the business in the first place..and then, to mamke you feel a LOT better,
just remember that you were born 'here', and not some place where they're shooting at you for sport...i remember back when i first started at this company, we hired a couple of serbian guys..
one was , shall we say, a tad shell shocked from what had been going on in his country...he'd just gotten to canada...and you could tell that he was still used to mortarfire and explosions and stuff...
god, i felt so bad for the guy...after about a year or so, you could see a massive, massive change in him for the better..
so.
just do all the things i said, and thank god you didn't wake up this morning to sirens, explosions, and crying...
wow...
kinda puts things in perspective eh?...
;)
