hey hey crabman, i did buy it. nice lil guitar for $100.
ok hepkat. im sorry to say that ive never played a GODIN.
as for the gibson/fender thing... i wouldnt say that you should HAVE to stick with either. i have a les paul and a 68 fender 12 str. and they are both great instruments, but you can find others out there that are just as good.
it really depends on what kinda music you like. i dont like strats or teles. Ibanez makes some nice electrics for a wide variety of musical styles, you could look into an ESP if yer into harder distorted shiz. but there are tons of great inexpensinve guitars. just run to the music store and hammer away for a few hours. pester the shit outta the salespeople, then leave and go to another store and repeat. you'll find something.
