    posting on a message board is not technically 'a step' altough does require movement of the digits. The real first step is actually doing the excercise for the first time, you'll feel really good about yourself and want to go back again the next day, as long as you don't get out of routine it should continue... in theory

    Actually the first step is coming to terms with yourself that you have to make a change. That's the biggest step. Most people never even come to that decision and make it to the gym.

    Making the decision to change is the first and most important step. Training is hard, I'll admit, but after a while it gets easier. Especially after the first compliment you get, something like 'man, are you losing wieght? you look great' or the fiirst time you realize your pants are too big. That's huge motivation.

    Trust me.
