I agree that some of these sex-based films can be artistic and inspiration, but it's hard to find ones that I like. I'll never watch The Brown Bunny because Gallo creeps me out, and other films just based around sex (especially if those are the only films that a specific director tends to lean towards) probably won't appeal to me.
I heard "Shortbus" was good and I thought "Lie With Me" was okay, but the ones that feature younger kids still creep me out for some reason. Possibly realistic, but weird if the director does more than one or two films about sex.
