it's just, i know from previous experience that there is little of value to be had from arguing with flagellum. Regardless of anyone's capacity to understand the absolutes and minutiae of these arguments - ultimately, it boils down to belief.
the reason I bother at all is because flagellum's constant framing of his belief system in pseudo-scientific terms irritates the living hell out of me - i should be smart and put him on ignore, but i don't - in the vain hope that one day, he might have something to offer NT beyond a bout of religious attrition (i say this appreciating how little i offer to NT).
Incidentally, you'll notice, i hope, that all i do is question flagellum's absolutism - i'm not claiming to be 'right' - i just think that assuming humanity is in receipt of all the answers, and is therefore in a position to ultimately deduce the form of the universe, is futile and ignorant. we're simple creatures - we've got a lot to learn.
I'm sorry we appear to have got off on the wrong foot - i respect your character and wit, but fuck it - do as you wish.
