The color thing was a line of code I accidently deleted. Thanks for spotting that - I've fixed it.
Keyboard focus - I think that is due to the key detection being nested in an MC. The Save & Relaunch actually reloads the page, hence loss of focus. You have to click on Java applets to focus them as well. In short, fuck it.
And no it's just a portfolio. But it's generating everything from code. I wanted to see if that approach was possible.
