The other people's insurance should cover it, but I have an old beater and it's totally going to be a write off and I'll get no money for it.
It's lame.

PUblic Transportation is a G-dsend ... if you live in a big enough city ... that is in fact 24 hours (or at least a train/bus every hour).
I couldn't live in Pittsburgh without a car (for the most part), though I could in Boston/NYC which are two places I'm looking at more and more. :X

The other thing about cars our age is that ... our insurance is still a fucking bitch. People make fun of my "Point A to Point B" vehicle, but seriously, I'd be paying out the nose for another 2 years until my insurance drops ... or a year now I guess ... perhaps less.

What I'm saying is, people put too much value into good cars (until my insurance drops and I become a yuppie).
