    I might have not worded it right: I meant companies whose worth existed only on paper. People invested in anything web-related before the collapse, Twain describes the very same story from 150 years earlier. Huge lumps of gold were dug out from holes, dragged to NY on trains and mine shares were sold instantly. Nobody bothered to check if there was anything but that lump in the hole.
