Way to lump us all together. Not all Mormons (like people in general) are the same. That's like meeting four Canadians and deciding that all of Canada sucks because you didn't like them.

(Dec 16 06, 13:11)I wasn't talking about four members of the church. I was talking about the vast majority of members I have met throughout my life.
I was born in a very strict mormon family. To me it was hell. The whole life in church was boring and quite depressing. It was pretty sad see how everyone was brainwashed and how every 5 minutes someone had to say how he/she suddenly felt this amazing feeling inside and without a doubt felt it was from god, and how he'she was certain this was the only true church of god...
Not to mention that if someone did not attend the cruel 3 hours of sermons every sunday, then this person was headed to hell. I still remember going to church after not attending one week and getting all this weird looks from everybody as I was the devil, then getting followed by a bunch of people telling not to skip church otherwise I'd be doing wrong.
Then there's all the stuff about not being able to drink alcohol, or coffee. One thing that pissed me off was that one day a guy from church spoke to the crowd for 15 minutes about how rock music is the devil's music and how parents should control what their children listen to whether they like it or not. Salvation was at risk according to this freak. And all this crap simply coz we gave this dude a ride once and I was listenting to guns n' roses and he simply didn't like. I mean c'mon!!! the dude knew ZERO english and he still said gnr's lyrics were bad.
Not all mormons are bad, but there is certainly a lot of things that are wrong with this church.
