"Community", pffft. Screw the community. Buncha posers.
I used to be a trend whore. Got linked at all the "right" portals because I had the "right" trends on my site. Arrows, 45 degree cut off corners. All that shit.
But then I realised it wasn't me, it wasn't MY style. I was just turning tricks to get linked up. And what did it get me? Nothing.
"Status" in this "community" leads you nowhere OUTSIDE of the forums and portals on the internet.
