Well SXSW is more an industry thing. There are hundreds of acts in many venues over several days, maybe even a week or so.
Whereas Coachella is definitely geared more toward the general public with less bands playing on several stages at the same venue.
I've been to Coachella about 6x, some of the best times of my life were there. Just depends on the lineup I guess.
But...if you go to coachella, be sure to get a hotel room. fuck camping when its 115ยบ outside.
