i'm chinese & female. not all chinese women are loud, it's a gross generalisation.
The ones i know/seen/heard that are really loud & boisterous are called "sam pa por" which are usually older and less cultured women. kind of like the social equivalent of trailer trash.
just tell her politely to keep her volume down, i'm sure she'll oblidge you.
