it's a bit busy but not a bad layout.
the only real issue i have is there is so much height from the top of the page to the top of the 'biography' text header.. then there is a large height gap between the header and text.
on a 20" widescreen i have to scroll down on the page to get to the real guts.
i'd tighten things up a bit and shrink the height.
nice start though.
