Makes me feel good that I make 45,000 a year and only pay 650.00 for a single 3 bedroom house with a finished basement set up as a recording studio here in Philly.
I lived in san fran for 6 months- it was a pretenious little snobby yuppyville.. it felt like a republician experiment to elminate lower and middle class society. Completely over priced and overrated. Berkley and Oakland have been taken over as well. I shit my pants when a friend was happy to live in a freakin box they called an apt. in berkely for 1400.00 a month... my bathroom here is bigger (honestly). He spends all his money on bills and even when he goes out for 7 dollar beers its only once a month- so he works at some crappy design firm and comes home and sleeps in a box. Soon after they kicked all artists out of their studios, and elminated "cheap" locations to live I left for back east- thinking of heading west again but will stay far away for that hell hole.
