i was diagnosed ocd when i was eight, but my behaviours were deemed not severe enough to warrant medication.
a lot of diagnoses like mine are throwaway, i think. a huge percentage of the population presents mild obsessive behaviours. part of the human condition, to a certain extent, i think.
there are people out there, however, who present with really really horrendous, unlivable behaviours and must take medication to combat them throughout their lives.
