"Devroye is a math professor at McGill University in Montreal, whose server hosted his font pages. McGill was in the news recently for their reputation as a party school. Several coeds posed nude in Playboy and the always fearless Devroye published the photos online. University authorities would have none of it. So he moved."
So he was taken off the McGill site because he posted those photos? I thought the university was proud of their 'dirty' reputation. I have some friends who go there are definitely proud of this. But I can also see why it would be inappropriate for a professor to post nude pictures of students up, regardless of where they're from.
Anyway, I'm glad Carleton decided to host his great stuff.
