    Yup, seems low if you are comparing it to the whole profession. I've seen slightly more than portfolio sites go for $12k that required no programming, no complex actionscripting, no video, no news section, just plain and simple.
    I've also seen simple html sites (that looked nice, but simple) go for close to $10k.
    So, yes, given the complexity of the scripting involved with making a good game (assuming it will be good), the skies the limit.

    Just think, designing the look of the game could take that much. Little characters, space ships, scene settings, all designed before the scripting.

    It's tons of work, without the site. So I would see this as the bottom of the price range and also assume that the game will be simple.
