Tough love is the only way to go, that's why all these kids these days play video games as opposed to playing outside and talk back to their mother's in public.
Good Lord, if I ever did that to mama, hahah. It would be a stern stare no words and I know I was getting it when we got home - even if I'd be quiet the rest of time out in public.
The whole thing about raising kids is not to have them afraid of the consequences of their actions, but how disappointed you are in them.
Guilt, haha.
