are you sure you deleted it and not dragged somewhere else by mistake?... (have you searched for it?)
do you have un-erase software?
might be time for a reinstall (at least for the Apple apps)... but you can do option 1 on the CD, which is just a refresh and doesnt disturb your data or settings, it just puts back essential bits..
